Privacy Policy

This policy explains how EquationFlow handles information when providing formula recognition, editing, saving and export services. We process only the information needed to provide the service, complete transactions and protect the service. We do not sell personal information.

1. Information we process

• Account information: email, display name and authentication identifiers for registration, sign-in and support.
• User content: images, recognition requests, results and saved formulas that you choose to submit, for recognition, editing, export and History.
• Transaction information: order ID, product, amount, currency, payment and refund status, and credit records for entitlement delivery, reconciliation, refunds and disputes.
• Technical information: necessary IP address, device, browser, page and security logs for service operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

Local drafts and language preferences may also be stored in your browser. Do not upload content you are not entitled to process, or passwords, full card numbers, identity documents, health records or other sensitive information unrelated to formula recognition.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We process account, content and order information to perform the service you request. We keep necessary records to meet applicable tax, consumer and other legal obligations. We process minimum technical logs to protect accounts and the service. Non-essential analytics run only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Providers and recipients

We use authentication, database, file storage, cloud hosting and network security providers to operate the site. These infrastructure providers process account, content and technical data only as needed to provide those services.

When you submit a recognition task, the image and request content needed for recognition are sent to DeepSeek. DeepSeek handles received content under its applicable open-platform terms and Privacy Policy.

At checkout, Creem acts as merchant of record and processes name, email, billing address and payment information for payment, tax, invoices and refunds. EquationFlow receives order and transaction results and does not store full payment card numbers. Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics receive page addresses, device and network information for usage measurement only after you allow analytics.

We send each recipient only the data needed for its stated purpose and limit processing through contracts, access controls and service configuration. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users' rights, or as necessary for a corporate transaction.

4. International processing

Providers may process data outside your country or region. DeepSeek's public privacy notice states that data it directly collects, processes and stores may be located in the People's Republic of China. Infrastructure, payment and analytics providers may process data in their operating regions. We use contractual and other safeguards required by applicable law, and will complete any required consent or additional steps before a transfer.

5. Retention and deletion

Source images are kept for no more than seven days after upload and then enter daily cleanup. Failed deletions are retried, so loss of access and underlying deletion may not occur at the same moment. Handwritten strokes are not stored on the server.

Account details, recognition results and saved formulas remain while the account is active. You can delete formulas in History or request account deletion in Settings. After deletion, we delete or de-identify account and content data that is no longer needed. Order, refund, reconciliation, security and dispute records remain until their purpose and applicable legal retention period end. Browser drafts remain until you delete the draft, clear site data or change browsers.

6. Cookies and analytics choices

Necessary cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security, language preferences and local drafts. Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics are non-essential and do not load before you choose Allow. Declining does not block the main service. We remember your Allow or Decline choice in this browser for 180 days. We ask again when that period ends or when analytics purposes or providers change materially. You can also reopen Analytics settings at any time from the site footer or workspace, and manage cookies and local storage through your browser. See Google's explanation of its processing.

7. Your rights and children

Use the email below to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or other rights available under applicable law. We may first verify your identity. Records subject to legal retention may not be deleted immediately. You may also complain to a competent authority. Users below the age required by applicable law should use the service with guardian consent and guidance, and avoid uploading material containing children's sensitive information.

8. Security and updates

We use access controls, transport protection and least-privilege measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We update the date when this policy changes and provide appropriate notice of changes that materially affect your rights.
